Echoes of a Lost World

Humanity has always defied its own limits. From warriors seeking immortality to alchemists chasing the philosopher’s stone, progress has always been our greatest ambition—and our greatest fear.

For centuries, technology became our shield against weakness. We rebuilt flesh with steel, enhanced thought with circuits, and pushed the boundaries of what it meant to be human. Some called it the future. Others called it a curse.

Dissent was inevitable. Not everyone saw progress as salvation. Some refused to adapt, rejecting machines and enhancements, choosing instead a life untouched by artificial hands. They warned of consequences, of corruption, of a future built on something fragile. But progress never stops.

Then, the world changed.

No one knows exactly when or how. It wasn’t a war, nor a disaster anyone could name. One day, knowledge simply vanished. History unraveled. The past became a void no one could fill.

Now, all that remains are echoes. Traces of a lost era, hinting at a past long forgotten. Bits of forgotten knowledge, faded memories, and relics no one understands. Entire civilizations reduced to myths, their stories whispered by those too afraid to search for the truth.

But one does.

A lone wanderer, walking through the ruins of a world that no longer remembers itself, stumbles upon something impossible—scattered remnants of something ancient, something forgotten. Whispers of a time before everything collapsed. A path forward, waiting to be found.

Truth, if it ever existed, was lost in the silence. Now, only echoes remain.
